Free Education

Education for AllEducation in Venezuela is free and mandatory from kindergarten up until sixth grade, and remains free through graduate-level degrees at the country’s public universities.

Education Today

For the 2007-2008 school year, enrollment increased by 418,000 children. In this academic period, a total of 7,538,992 children attended elementary, middle and high school through 28,058 educational institutions with 405,895 teachers, 241,652 sections and 213,970 classrooms. Almost 80% of registration and attendance is at public schools, with the remaining 20% being at private institutions.
