The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has learned of the strong explosion that took place early this morning in the northern area of the city of Bogotá, injuring people, causing damage and shocking the population.

The Venezuelan people and the government strongly condemn this terrorist act against the fraternal people of Colombia and their fervent wish for peace.

On behalf of the Venezuelan people, the Bolivarian Government of President Hugo Chávez expresses its solidarity with the people and Government of the Republic of Colombia, and wishes for the quick clarification of these unfortunate facts.
