The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has filed a request with the government of the Republic of Ecuador through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Integration of this fraternal country and in its capacity as Pro-Tempore President of the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR), to urgently  call an Extraordinary Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of UNASUR so as to denounce the serious aggressions of Colombia’s Government against the sovereignty of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela warned the Pro Tempore Presidency of UNASUR that, given the presence of the foreign military bases in Colombian territory, this new aggression sets the scenario for a dangerous escalation.
