    Join “In Cayapa” in the Venezuelan Sounds

    En Cayapa_As part of the seventh edition of the Venezuelan Sounds, the Assembly In Cayapa will be performing on June 23 and 25 in Washington DC , and June 27 in San Francisco.

    The Assembly in Cayapa is a group of six young Venezuelan musicians belonging to an emerging language that blurs the boundary between academic and popular music. Rodner Padilla (Electric Bass), Klever Camero (Piano) and Victor Marquez (guitar) begin their work together in the spaces of the the Instituto Universitario de Estudios Musicales, Venezuela. His compositions in the academic context have been influenced by a popular language. Demian Martinez (Clarinet) and Eddie Cordero (Violin), both members of the Simón Bolivar Youth Orchestra, as well as Leowaldo Aldana (Percussion), a member of a research group working in the rescue of African heritage in Venezuelan music, come to bring  make its experience in the orchestral and chamber music world.

    June 23: In the Simitsonian National Zoo, Washington DC.  From 6 to 8:30 p.m.
    June 25: In the Hall Bolivariano.Washington DC., From 7 to 9 pm
    June 27: In the Garden Festival Yerbabuena, San Francisco , from 1 to 3 pm
